My writing has been published in magazines and newspapers in various parts of the globe. More of a nomad than a traveller, I am increasingly interested in the deeper culture and history of the places I visit and live. I am fascinated by how we as tourists see our destinations, and what happens when cultures intersect. I write a lot of travel articles.

I am currently based in Oxford, UK, but am frequently also in Japan (I am fluent in Japanese), Canada, and Australia. I take my own photographs and am happy to travel for assignments.
